"War on Women Thursday" continues. Let's mosey on over to Texas.
"What did you say?"
You may remember when I wrote that Rick Perry's wife said this over the weekend:

Anita Perry, the wife of Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R), said over the weekend she views abortion as a "woman's right," but disagrees with it personally.

"I see it as a woman's right. If they want to do that, that is their decision. They have to live with that decision," she said in an interview Saturday at the Texas Tribune Festival.

"Yeah, that could be a woman's right. Just like it's a man right if he wants to have some kind of procedure. But I don't agree with it and that's not my view."

We all wondered afterward how Mrs. Perry could express an opinion that appears to be so diametrically opposed to that of her Governor husband.

Well as it turns out, she can't!

Texas Gov. Rick Perry today owned up to an “oops” moment that wasn’t even his.

His wife, Anita, misspoke when she told a journalist that abortion is a woman’s right, Perry, 63, a Republican who opposes terminating pregnancies, told a crowd in Smithville, New Jersey.

“From time to time we’ll stick the wrong word in the wrong place, and you pounce upon it,” Perry told reporters at a campaign event for U.S. Senate candidate Steve Lonegan, a 57-year-old Republican from Bogota.

" From time to time we’ll stick the wrong word in the wrong place?" What is she programmed?

I think that Anita Perry spoke her heart, and expressed an opinion that she feels very strongly about.

For this glorified shitkicker to treat her like a second class citizen whose opinion is not valid, is a form of emotional abuse, and it speaks volumes about Rick Perry's character. Or lack thereof.

I often wonder what kind of woman could be married to such an arrogant prick as Rush Limbaugh, Ted Cruz, or Rick Perry. I think that question has now been answered.
