Apparently the Palin paranoia is a family trait. Or is it?

Apparently the Palin paranoia is a family trait. Or is it?
This from Chuck Heath Jr's Facebook page:

Coincidence? You decide.

My father, who worked multiple jobs and faithfully and honestly paid his taxes for fifty years, had never heard a word from the IRS. In 2008, his daughter was tapped to run for vice president of the United States. Since that time, he has been, in his words "horribly harassed" six times by the agency. They've tried to dig up something on him but he's always operated above board. Government and politics are ugly.

Kudos to the few that are trying to clean it up.

Seriously?

To answer the initial question at the top of the page, yes whatever "harassment" that is coming Chuck Sr's way is definitely a coincidence.

To think that the IRS in Alaska gives a crap about a doddering old man in Alaska enough to target him for any kind of harassment is ludicrous on its face.

The Facebook post does not provide any details as to what the Chucks consider to be harassment, but unless Papa Heath has been the subject of an audit six times (Which would in fact be excessive) it sounds like it has simply been a request for additional information about his tax returns.

And considering the fact that his last monetary adventure appears to be that book deal with Chuck Jr., it would make sense that the IRS may require certain kinds of information that he, as a retired person, may not have had to provide in the past.

Of course there are a number of Right Wing blogs that have taken this story and run with it, because, you know, IRS. Which fits with their current meme that the Obama administration is using the IRS to target their political enemies.

However as most of us know the entire IRS 'scandal" turned out to be a false narrative, yet those facts have never filtered out to the fringe.

In fact the use of the IRS to target political enemies was a tactic utilized by Richard Nixon, a Republican President, NOT the Democrats.

So the question to ask is whether or not this is a case of paranoia by the Chucks, or are they simply being good Right Wing soldiers and continuing to push forward a narrative that their famous sibling would put her stamp of approval on?

I know what I think.
