Colts celebrate Peyton Manning
INDIANAPOLIS -- After 14 seasons, a pile of records, countless remember-when moments, two Super Bowl appearances and a week's worth of he said, he didn't say, the Indianapolis Colts tried to say thank you to Peyton Manning on Sunday night.
After a week's worth of commentary about what Jim Irsay recently said about the quarterback's tenure in Indianapolis -- the owner said he was disappointed and frustrated the team won just one Super Bowl and that the team had changed its "program" after Manning's release -- the Colts played a brief video montage on the stadium's video screens before Sunday night's game at Lucas Oil Stadium.
With several of Manning's former teammates looking on, a group that included Edgerrin James, Marvin Harrison and Jeff Saturday, the Colts unveiled a short tribute just before kickoff.
